If either of you or any of your family members have genetically inherited diseases such as Tay-Sachs, sickle cell anaemia, haemophilia or cystic fibrosis and many others, you may find that you are carriers of such genetic traits. Therefore before you get pregnant and only if this is a concern to you, please talk to your doctor  to discuss the risks to you and the child and or any tests that are available and the options that you have before you make your decision to have a child.
